The CaringBridge Share Your Heart contest winner continues to spread love, hope and compassion to those facing a health journey by donating one of her iPad mini prizes. Last month, Ellen Joyce submitted this entry to the contest: My daughter’s nonprofit improves the quality of life for children receiving medical treatment in hospitals. CaringBridge, the “caring social network” that connects people who are experiencing a health event with families and friends, has been chosen to be a participating charity for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon scheduled for October, 2013. More than 300 CaringBridge supporters from across the U.S. opened their hearts and entered the CaringBridge “Share Your Heart” photo, video, and essay contest in February, inspiring millions of people by sharing their everyday acts of kindness. The three-week contest invited people to submit the fun, unique and interesting ways they share love and support with friends and family.
